I used this pink clay in my cold process soap and I must say I was impressed with the color payoff. I was a bit worried upon ordering after seeing reviews that said it didn’t come out well but I’m glad I trusted the process.

So picked up a soap kit, just because, the examples used rose clay as a recommendation for white soap with crushed dried roses plus a teeny bit of clay to give the soft tint, and it was brilliant! I was so excited, I spent another $100+ on soap supplies, and very happy I did… I made samples for friends, and they loved the soaps best, for texture, and eye appeal, pluse wrapping in with chiffon bows, they looked, felt and smelled so pretty! Very happy with the product, it should last a long time…

I mixed Kaolin Clay with betonite to create an underarm detox mask. Kaolin is much gentler than bentonite. Kaolin has the potential to provide soft cleansing, gentle exfoliation, mild oil absorption, and softer skin. Kaolin also helps buffer, the stronger effects of bentonite, making the overall mask less harsh. What I noticed immediately was softer skin and less pit odor. I will experiment with different formulas, but I only mixed the powder with water until it formed a creamy clay.
This kaolin clay powder arrived sealed extremely well in a sturdy resealable bag that keeps a nice airtight seal use after use, as long as you brush away any powder that gathers in the zipper tracks. The powder is very fine, unscented, and mixes incredibly easily with liquid. I just use water, and only a small amount is needed to make a smooth mask consistency, so definitely add liquid slowly because the powder incorporates quickly. One thing I really love about products like this is being able to mix my own masks with ingredients I personally choose instead of buying premade masks in tubes or tubs with unnecessary ingredients. It feels cleaner, simpler, and more customizable. I used this as a face mask and left it on for about 10 minutes. It dried quickly and rinsed away easily. I had one irritated acne spot on my chin, and afterward it felt less itchy and looked less red. My skin felt clean, soft, refreshed, and ready for moisturizer. It did leave my skin slightly dry, so I definitely followed with moisturizer, but not in the harsh overly stripped way some clay masks can cause. What I especially appreciate is that this gives a similar deep clean feeling to bentonite clay, but in a much gentler and less drying way, making it an excellent option for sensitive skin or for anyone who wants an effective mask without something overly intense. The one-pound bag is also going to last a very long time because you need so little powder per use. Even sharing it with my daughter and granddaughter, I can tell this is going to go quite far. I may eventually experiment with using this in homemade soap once I get better at soap making, but for now I’m very happy using it for face masks. Overall, this feels like a simple, high-quality product that does exactly what I hoped it would do.
